Compunix's search (cSearch) has expanded on the original cart search abilities by adding the following features:

match all/any keywords in the search - you can have it match any words in the search or set it to only return products that match all words entered
case insensitive
spelling recommendations
match singular/plural keyword versions
keywords can be in any order to be matched
dynamic filtering with counts for results - category, manufacturer, price
sorting for price, name, popularity (asc/desc for all)
displaying in grid/list layouts
paging
page size control
statistics daily/all time keywords, number of searches
